Photography Style Guidelines

I authored Mailchimp's Photography Style Guide, a 45-page resource that became the standard for how photography was created, commissioned, and used across the company. From new hire onboarding to vendor briefings to on-set production reference — if you were creating or commissioning photography at Mailchimp, this was your starting point.

Before it existed, photography was being produced by dozens of internal designers, external agencies, and freelance photographers without shared standards. I audited existing imagery, established creative taxonomy, defined use cases and production workflows, and updated the guidelines through multiple brand refreshes.
